Hostinger review 2026: real prices, renewals, pros and cons
Disclosure: Mirror ORG is a Hostinger affiliate partner. If you buy through our links or code, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Prices are a dated snapshot of hostinger.com and can change.
Hostinger is a good fit for most small and mid-sized WordPress sites and stores: fast LiteSpeed servers, an easy control panel, and one of the lowest first-term prices around — from $2.99/month, or $2.39 with code MirrorORG. The catch is the renewal price (Premium renews at $10.99/month), so the real value comes from paying for the longest term up front.
Who wrote this and how we judge
Mirror ORG is a web agency that builds WordPress and WooCommerce sites. Our own sites — this one included — and a long list of client projects (online stores, a learning platform, news sites) run on Hostinger, so this review comes from daily use, not a one-week test. We are also a Hostinger affiliate partner, which is why we have a coupon code. We have tried to keep that from colouring the review: the weaknesses below are the ones we actually run into.
Prices: first term vs renewal
Hostinger shows a low monthly price, but you pay the whole term up front, and the lowest monthly price only applies to the longest term. When the term ends, the plan renews at a higher price. Here is the honest picture for the most popular plans (USD per month, checked on hostinger.com on أكتوبر 9, 2026):
| Plan | Sale price | With MirrorORG | Renews at | Term |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium Web Hosting | $2.99 | $2.39 | $10.99 | 48 months |
| Unlimited Web Hosting | $3.99 | $3.19 | $16.99 | 48 months |
| Cloud Startup | $7.99 | $6.39 | $25.99 | 48 months |
| VPS KVM 2 | $8.99 | $7.19 | $14.99 | 24 months |
Taxes may be added at checkout depending on your country. Shorter terms have a higher monthly price. Hostinger changes its prices often — the checkout always shows the final amount before you pay.
So what does that mean in money? Premium for 48 months is $143.52 up front, or $114.82 with the code. That is four years of hosting for one site-owner’s budget — but plan for the renewal, which we explain in our renewal price guide.
What each plan includes
Premium — for one to three small sites
3 websites, 20 GB SSD storage, free SSL, a free domain for the first year, 2 mailboxes per site (free for a year) and weekly backups. Fine for a portfolio, a blog or a small business site.
Unlimited — the plan we recommend most
Unlimited websites (under Hostinger’s fair-usage policy), 50 GB NVMe storage, daily backups with easy restore, CDN included, unlimited mailboxes per site for the first year. For about a dollar more a month than Premium, daily backups alone are worth it — especially for a WooCommerce store, where a week-old backup means lost orders.
Cloud Startup — for busy stores and agencies
100 GB NVMe, daily and on-demand backups, CDN, and more dedicated resources than shared hosting. Choose it when a shop starts to feel slow at peak hours or when you host many client sites on one account.
Not sure which one? Our plan guide walks through it by type of site.
What Hostinger does well
- Speed for WordPress. LiteSpeed web servers plus the free LiteSpeed Cache plugin give WordPress sites a fast baseline without paid add-ons.
- hPanel is easy. Hostinger’s own control panel puts domains, email, backups, SSL, PHP version and staging in one clear place. Non-technical clients manage it without calling us.
- Entry price. Few hosts with this level of performance start this low, and the coupon code takes another 20% off the sale price.
- The basics are included. Free SSL, a free domain for the first year on most yearly plans, email, a one-click WordPress installer and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
- Choice of server location. You pick the data-centre region when you set up, so you can host close to your visitors.
Where it falls short
- Renewals cost clearly more. Premium goes from $2.99 to $10.99 a month at renewal; Unlimited from $3.99 to $16.99. Every budget host does this, but you should know before you buy.
- The lowest price needs the longest term, paid in one go.
- Shared hosting has hard limits. Shared plans cap how many processes a site can run at once. We have hit that cap ourselves when firing dozens of uncached requests at a site in parallel — normal visitors never do that, but a sudden traffic spike on a heavy store can. That is the moment to move to Cloud.
- Premium only has weekly backups. Take your own backups too, or choose Unlimited.
- No cPanel and no phone support. Support is by live chat and tickets. hPanel is easier than cPanel for most people, but if your workflow depends on cPanel, look elsewhere.
- The free domain is free for one year, then renews at the normal domain price.
Who should choose it — and who should not
Good fit: blogs, business sites, portfolios, small and mid-sized WooCommerce stores, freelancers and agencies who want a fast WordPress host at a low cost and are happy to pay for a multi-year term.
Look elsewhere if you need phone support, must have cPanel, want to pay month by month at the advertised price, or run a high-traffic site that needs guaranteed dedicated resources from day one (then compare Hostinger Cloud or VPS with managed alternatives).

Questions people ask
Is Hostinger good for WordPress?
Yes, for most small and mid-sized sites. LiteSpeed servers, the free LiteSpeed Cache plugin, staging and daily backups on Unlimited cover what a typical WordPress site or WooCommerce store needs. Very busy stores should start on Cloud hosting.
Why is Hostinger so cheap?
The advertised price is the monthly equivalent of a long term paid up front (usually 48 months for web hosting). Renewal prices are higher — for example Premium renews at $10.99 a month.
Does Hostinger have a money-back guarantee?
Yes, 30 days on hosting plans. Check Hostinger’s refund policy for domains and some add-ons, which are handled differently.
Is the coupon code worth using?
It costs nothing and takes another 20% off the sale price — on Premium that is $114.82 instead of $143.52 for 48 months. You see the reduced total in the cart before paying.
