Hostinger vs Bluehost (2026): prices, renewals and the real four-year cost
SHORT ANSWER

Over four years, Hostinger costs less on every tier we compared — mainly because its lowest price runs for 48 months while Bluehost’s runs for 36, after which Bluehost’s renewal price kicks in. Bluehost wins on more websites on the entry plan (10 vs 3) and lower renewal prices on its mid and top tiers. For a single site or a small store, Hostinger is the cheaper choice; if you need many small sites on the cheapest plan, look closely at Bluehost.

Fair warning: we are a Hostinger affiliate partner and have no deal with Bluehost. That is exactly why every number below comes straight from each host’s own pricing page, with the date we checked.

The real cost over four years

Monthly prices hide the difference in term length. Here is what you would pay for four years of hosting, assuming each host’s longest discounted term and renewal at its listed price afterwards:

TierHostinger with MirrorORGBluehost
Entry$114.82
48 months up front
$263.52
36 × $3.99 + 12 × $9.99
Mid$153.22

$419.52
36 × $6.99 + 12 × $13.99
Top$306.82
48 months up front
$803.52
36 × $14.99 + 12 × $21.99

Hostinger is clearly cheaper over the first four years. From year five, both renew — and there Bluehost’s mid and top tiers renew lower than Hostinger’s ($13.99 vs $16.99, $21.99 vs $25.99). If you plan to stay on the same host for many years, factor that in, and read how to pay less on a Hostinger renewal.

Beyond price

  • Backups: Hostinger gives daily backups from Unlimited up; Bluehost’s shared plans list weekly backups. For a store, daily matters.
  • Number of sites on the cheapest plan: Bluehost Starter allows 10, Hostinger Premium 3. If you host several tiny sites, that is a real point for Bluehost.
  • Control panel: Hostinger uses its own hPanel. Our clients find it easy; if you need cPanel specifically, check each host’s current panel before buying.
  • Refunds: both offer 30 days. Bluehost states that a non-refundable domain fee is deducted if a free domain was included; check Hostinger’s refund policy for domains too.
  • Free domain fine print: Bluehost’s free domain must be claimed within 90 days of purchase. Both renew the domain at the normal price after year one.

Which should you choose?

Choose Hostinger for one site or a small-to-mid WooCommerce store, if you want daily backups without paying for the top tier, and if the lowest total cost over the first four years matters most. Here is how to pick the right Hostinger plan.

Choose Bluehost if you need many small sites on the cheapest plan, prefer a 36-month commitment over 48, or care more about the long-term renewal price on the mid and top tiers.
